According to TMZ, there will be a secret official wedding ceremony somewhere in Manhattan on July 3. In the evening of the same day, a grand party with a castle backdrop and musical performances will take place at the Madison Square Garden (MSG) arena.
The Associated Press reported on July 3, based on a copy of the city’s permit and new details provided to the news agency by police, the event caused several neighborhoods in midtown Manhattan to be locked down for the holiday weekend.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s spokesman said the application for permission to hold a “special event at MSG” had been approved by New York City’s licensing office. The permit states that 100 guests will begin arriving at the Madison Square Garden arena at 18:30 on July 2 (local time) for an intimate party ahead of the main event. According to the permit, the entire route will be blocked overnight to allow construction crews to erect a “pass-through tent” next to a separate “entrance tent.” Meanwhile, the main event is scheduled to start around 5 p.m. on July 3 (local time) and may last until 4 a.m. on July 4 (local time), with a maximum of 1,000 attendees expected to be able to attend.

According to information released by the police on the afternoon of July 2 (local time), many streets around the MSG gymnasium will prohibit traffic and partially restrict pedestrians. Access to Penn Station (the busiest railroad hub in the United States, located just below the gymnasium) will also be significantly restricted. Passengers are advised to use an alternate entrance that is further away from the event venue. This situation has angered some business owners and local residents, calling for the government to be more transparent about a private event that consumes a lot of public resources.
Although the two main characters keep all details of the wedding private, many media outlets are constantly updating the latest moves related to this “super event”. Over the past few hours, many celebrities have had a close relationship with the bride and groom: Jack Antonoff, Lena Dunham, Abigail Anderson, Erin Andrews, Tree Paine, Abigail Anderson, Ross Travis, Bradley Cooper… were seen flocking to the Madison Square Garden area to attend an intimate party before the wedding.
